Introducing Our New Event Promotion Program
In-office promotions are a great way to get more prospects through the door, but what busy dental practice has the time to organize and promote the event?

What is SmartBox Doing For Me Now That My Website Has Launched?

It’s good to have options, so here are two options for answering that question: you can read this article, or you can check back into the materials you received when you signed on.
Either way, here’s the short answer: you ain’t gonna believe how much we do for you.
Today’s dental websites aren’t a “fire-and-forget” proposition – not given the incredible level of competition. You won’t see this, but our Web Development team is constantly making “tweaks” to make sure that your prospects will see your listing online.
Our Content Team is putting out expert Fresh and Unique Content every month for the vast majority of our dentists (your agreement may not include that service). That content appears on your blog and also on your Facebook page. Remember, Google says, “Content is king.” We stay mindful of that and give Google what it wants, on your behalf.
SmartBox’s Paid Media experts continually monitor the marketing performance of your online ads and promoted posts. As needed, adjustments are made to the content, the placement, and/or the associated keywords to keep things humming along and your Paid Media producing the results you want.
And, of course, your Client Success Manager is the linchpin in this whirlwind of activity. We won’t even attempt to describe everything he or she does every day; you probably don’t have that much time.
There’s more that we do behind the scenes every day, and if you really want all the technical stuff, we’ll provide it. But the bottom line is this: you won’t always see everything we do for you once your website launches. But you’ll see the results in your bottom line.
Don’t Google Yourself!
Just DON’T Do It
It’s human nature to be curious about how others see us, so we really can’t blame dentists and practice managers for Googling their practices.
It’s a really bad thing to do, though, so please stop. (No, seriously – just don’t do it except maybe once in a while.)
Online page ranking (Search Engine Results Placement) is a complicated deal that takes into account a number of behaviors on the part of searchers. A dentist or practice manager who is Googling the practice does not display the online behaviors of dental prospects.
If you search but don’t click on your listing, Google is eventually going to stop showing that listing because the search engine thinks it’s irrelevant to the search you’re performing.
There are different issues if you Google yourself or your practice and do click. Clicking on your site listing and then clicking away increases your “bounce” rate, which hurts SEO rankings.
And if you click one of your paid ads, you’re costing yourself money.
So, please: use Google for everything else, but not for Googling your practice. If you do, you’re hindering your progress.
