Director of Paid Media

Smartbox is looking for a Director of Paid Media to join our team and help transform the way in which we buy and integrate Digital Paid Media for our practices. In this role you will lead how we develop and execute forward thinking Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns, as well as Video, Display and Retargeting campaigns for our client as well as collaborate with other departments to successfully plan and deliver on digital strategies that increase performance, demonstrate ROI and deliver business results for our clients. This position reports into the VP of Marketing and has management responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing

  • Drive the development, preparation and implementation of media strategies and corresponding measurement, optimization and reporting
  • Create and own roadmap for ongoing innovation to ensure we are meeting and exceeding client expectations
  • Keep a finger on the “pulse” of the digital marketplace
  • Identify opportunities of growth, drive innovation and ensure quality
  • Responsible for developing and managing paid media budgets
  • Management of Paid Search Campaigns and Paid Social Campaigns across Google, Bing, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat
  • Manage new and existing agency and third party partnerships that contribute to Paid Media success
  • Implementing new and innovative strategies while measuring and communicating the business impact of the results
  • Develop close working relationships with cross-functional departments
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Directly supervises employees.
  • Additional projects and duties as required.

What You Need for this Position

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 + years in a hands on role managing Digital Media campaigns
  • Expertise in Paid Search, Paid Social, Video, Display & Retargeting
  • Google Ads & Analytics Certification
  • Solid understanding of media technologies and emerging trends
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills including written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills. Must be able to gather, analyze, summarize and present data
  • Must have flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness to help develop structure and process
  • Must be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a complex and fast-paced business environment
  • Great team skills, organizational skills and attention to detail a must
